Frankie Muniz had to step away from his full-time NASCAR Truck Series season in August after falling off a ladder and breaking his wrist, but he’ll be back in action this week.

The Reaume Brothers Racing driver announced on X that he’s been medically cleared to drive in the Love’s RV Stop 225 at Talladega Superspeedway on Friday, Oct. 17.

I’ve been itching to get behind the wheel, and this break only fired me up more. Super motivated to crush it and finish the season strong! Muniz missed four races while he was sidelined, while Mason Maggio filled in driving the No. 33.

Muniz’s 10th place finish at Daytona is his only top 10 of the year and his 14th place at Michigan the only other top 15 result. He also competed in the Mustang Challenge Le Mans Invitational in June, where he finished 10th and 17th in the twin races, beating Ford CEO Jim Farley each time.

The races feature identical Ford Mustang Dark Horse R racing cars with 500 hp V8s and stick-shift manual transmissions.

Muniz did not qualify for the Truck Series Playoffs, which has three races remaining including the Championship 4 finale at Phoenix.
