They’re going to have to change the name to Google Off-Street View.

A Ford Bronco equipped with a Google Street View camera as traversed the TransAmerica Trail from coast to coast to gather photography for the Google Maps feature.

The Trans America Trail is a series of public roads that are mostly off-pavement and stretch from Port Orford, Ore., to Nags Head, N.C.

The Bronco Badlands was accompanied by Ford Ranger and Ford Expedition support trucks for the trip, which took 35 days to complete. The route is now available for viewing on Google Maps.

The TransAmerica Trail, known by fans as the TAT, was originally conceived by off-road motorcycle enthusiast Sam Correro, who started mapping it out in 1984. It has been developed in the years since with several side routes and continues to be added to by volunteer mappers.

The route isn’t extremely technical and nothing like the Rubicon Trail, but a vehicle with four-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive is a must and a decent amount of ground clearance is recommended. The Ranger had the FX4 package, the Expedition was a Tremor and the Bronco was equipped with the Sasquatch off-road upgrade package. That’s not the only way the cryptid played into the trip.

Sasquatch mannequins have been set up in the woods at a few points on the route, including in Oxford, Miss., to surprise travelers, and were captured among the photos.
