Ram will be adding an SUV to its lineup in 2028, Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa confirmed during the automaker’s third quarter earnings call on Thursday.

Stellantis announced a new $13 billion U.S. manufacturing plan on October 15 that included a new full-size SUV, but at the time didn’t say which brand was getting it.

The model will share its platform with the Jeep Grand Wagoneer and will be offered in both internal combustion engine and range-extended electric vehicle versions.

Filosa didn’t say what the model will be called, but Ram recently cancelled plans to call its upcoming range extended electric pickup the Ramcharger, which is a name that was previously used on a full-size Dodge SUV

Filosa also said that two high performance Ram pickups will launch in 2026 under the SRT performance division banner. One is likely to be the rebooted Ram 1500 TRX that has previously been confirmed, but the second remains a mystery.

He did say they will deliver “distinct value propositions,” which leaves the door open to many possibilities. Among them would be bringing the existing Ram 1500 RHO under the SRT banner. The turbocharged straight-six-powered pickup is essentially a lower priced and less powerful version of the TRX.

There’s also a chance that Ram has a street performance truck in the works that could serve as a successor to the Ram 1500 SRT 10. Mopar unveiled a street truck concept for the SEMA Show that revives the classic Dude trim and could offer a sneak peek at what to expect from a future production model.

The Dude is powered by Ram’s rebooted 5.7-liter V8 eTorque, which returns to the lineup for 2026. Filosa said Ram already has 43,000 orders from dealers for the V8 trucks. Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis had previously said he expects the V8 trucks to account fo 25 to 40% of Ram 1500 sales once production has ramped up to full capacity.

A street truck would be a fitting addition to Ram’s lineup as the brand will be reentering the NASCAR Truck Series in 2026.
