New 900 HP Ford F-150 Raptor R Project Is Ready To Fly Very High

The 720 hp Ford F-150 Raptor R is the reigning king of the V8 off-road pickups, but there’s something lurking in the woods.
That would be the rebooted Ram 1500 TRX that’s going on sale early next year. The TRX had a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 when it went out of production in 2024, but Ram hasn’t said how powerful it will be this time around.
It looks like Ford isn’t waiting to find out, because it built a project F-150 Raptor R with an engine boosted to more than 900 hp for the SEMA Show, and you might be able to recreate it soon.
Ford swapped the F-150 Raptor R’s stock 2.65-liter Whipple supercharger for a 3.0-liter unit, similar to the one it offers through the Ford Performance parts catalog for the Ford Mustang’s 5.0-liter V8 that increases power from 480 hp to 810 hp. It breathes through a Borla cat-back exhaust and the truck has been dressed up with Rigid lights.

Ford envisions the package as a future offering through the catalog that would be 50-state legal and come with a three-year/36,000-mile warranty.

It’s not talking about improving the performance of the factory model yet, but for customers looking to one up their Ram-driving neighbors, this could be the way to go.

Just getting the f-150 Raptor R’s engine from it’s original 700 hp to 720 hp into series production spec required an extensive amount of work.
Ford has’t confirmed a date for the package’s release or a price target, but the Mustang supercharger currently lists for $10,500.
