The In-N-Out-Burger NHRA finals at the Pomona Dragstrip were washed out by rain on Sunday and the season called without any racing in the final round, due to persistently bad rain all weekend.

Champions were crowned based on the current standings with Austin Prock taking the Funny Car title, Dallas Glenn the Pro Stock titles and Richard Gadson the Pro Stock Motorcycle Title.

Doug Kalitta had been crowned champion on Saturday after qualifying was canceled, leaving him with an insurmountable points lead. Kalitta won his first title in 2023 at the finale.

“Yeah, this is definitely a lot easier [than 2023],” Kalitta told NHRA.com. “It’s always seemed to come down to the last race, last day, but we had a nice string of runs throughout the Countdown.”

“It’s been real nice, and just not doing something stupid on the track and getting good, solid runs.”

Prock repeated as Funny Car champion, while Glenn and Gadson were first time winners.

The cancelation denied Brittany Force the opportunity to end her record-setting career at her home track. The John Force Racing driver is stepping away from the sport next season to try to start a family.

Force set the all-time NHRA top speed record this season and won her final race at Las Vegas to become the winningest female driver NHRA history.

Force’s father, John, also announced his official retirement this week at age 76 due to his continuing recovery from a crash last year.
