2026 Shelby Super Snake Uncoiled With 830 HP

The 2026 Shelby Super Snake will make its public debut at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction that kicks off on Jan. 17, but the order books are already open.
The Ford Mustang GT-based Super Snake is being offered with the choice the factory 480 hp 5.0-liter V8 or a Whipple supercharged-version rated at 830 hp. Shelby is offering both with the choice of six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission.
The supercharged engine gets an updated cooling system that’s assisted by the vents in the Shelby-designed carbon fiber hood and widebody carbon fiber fenders that all Super Snakes get. Power gets to the wheels through performance half-shafts and the motor breathes through a Borla exhaust.
The car rides on lightweight magnesium 20-inch wheels and a Shelby-tuned suspension, while stopping is handled by Brembo brakes with rotors upgraded by Shelby.

Additional body modifications include a front splitter with supports, rocker extensions, a carbon fiber rear diffuser and a Shelby rear wing. The interior is dressed in Shelby upholstery, embroidered floor mats, a serialized dash plaque and a Shelby shifter ball for manual-equipped cars.

The Super Snake starts at $175,885 including a 401A Mustang GT Fastback with Performance Pack, Active Exhaust, MagneRide suspension, Red brake calipers, and B&O sound system options. Shelby also offers it as a convertible. U.S. market production is limited to 300 cars and production is underway.
