The Jeep Gladiator is a go anywhere pickup that can carry five passengers and whatever you can fit in its five-foot bed, but what if you need to haul more stuff than people?
Acela Truck Company has the answer. The Bozeman, Montana-based extreme duty truck builder has created a custom two-door Gladiator with a 7-foot bed for commercial applications.
Acela builds a custom extended cab body that sits on a reinforced frame that is compatible with flat beds, drop-side beds and various service bodies.
It retains the Gladiator’s 285 hp 3.6-liter V6, 8-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 drivetrain and 7,700-pound tow rating, but the updates increase its payload capacity up to to 3,001 pounds, which is nearly double the stock Gladiator’s.

Acela has not responded to a request for pricing, but the Dispatcher 4×4 at NTEA Work Truck Week in Indianapolis and goes on sale in April.

This isn’t the only way to get a 2-door Gladiator, however. South Carolina’s GR8TOPS offers a conversion kit that the company says can be installed by an “average person” in their garage in a day. It’s $4,900 with a solid rear wall and $5,100 with a window. GR8TOPS will also do the installation for $11,500 total.
