The 6 Cheapest V8-Powered American Cars And Trucks Left
That’s one more down and not many to go.
Production of the Ram 1500 Classic ended in early October and it took one of the last V8 engine options with it.
The full-size truck was available as a quad cab with a 5.7-liter V8 for $43,745, but now all of Ram’s light duty pickups are offered only with V6 and turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engines.
With last year’s discontinuation of the Dodge Charger and Challenger and Chevrolet Camaro, there aren’t many affordable vehicles left of any type that come with a V8, but here are the cheapest from American brands that will be surviving into the 2025 model year.
FORD F-150 XL
The entry-level Ford F-150 XL regular cab with a six-foot bed comes standard with a 400 hp 5.0-liter V8 for $38,960.
