The electric Scout Terra and Traveler aren’t just about reducing emissions.
The upcoming pickup and SUV were designed to be serious off-roaders, both in performance and functionality.
Both of the trucks are equipped with enough clever features to make your Swiss Army knife jealous.
STRAP IN
Both models have hoops built into the hood that can be used to secure things to on top of it or on the roof.
THREAD THE NEEDLE
The recovery hooks on the front and rear bumpers also have holes that are the perfect size to run climbing ropes through.

LIGHTEN UP
The roofs can be equipped with either a glass panel or a fabric Cabana Top that rolls back to create a huge sunroof.
CHARGE IT
Along with all-electric models that will have up to 350 miles of range, the Terra and Traveler will be offered with a Harvester range-extended powertrain that includes a small gas generator mounted in the rear that can be quickly refilled to keep the battery charged on long trips.
FRUNK IT UP
With no engine to worry about, there’s a large frunk with power outlets.
SIT ON IT
The frunk has a sliding floor that covers a storage compartment and can be used as a seat.

DO THE SPLITS
The rear tailgate is split horizontally and the bottom half can also be used as a seat.
GET IN LINE
The digital instrument cluster has a horizontal speedometer graphic that hearkens back to the analogue ones on the classic Scouts.

Along with the touchscreen interface, the Scouts have a row of knobs and toggles that are more direct and easier to use with gloves on.
THREE’S NOT A CROWD
The Scouts are so wide that they will be available with an optional front bench seat.

STEP IT UP
The Terra isn’t an old-school stepside pickup, but it does have a steps in the rocker panels and grab handles on the roof pillars to make it easier to climb up.
