2025 Ram Heavy Duty And Chassis Cab Trucks Revealed With Massive Power
Ram’s big trucks have been given a makeover.
The redesigned 2025 Ram Heavy Duty and Chassis Cab lineup has been revealed with updated powertrains and tech.
The 2500 and 3500 pickups and 3500, 4500 and 5500 Chassis Cabs share their bodies and engines, but get a few unique features each.
The 2025 Ram Heavy Duty and Chassis Cab trucks are updated versions of the 2024 model that get LED headlights with a split layout and new grille designs across the board.

Engine options include a 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and a redesigned 6.7-liter Cummins turbocharged inline-six-cylinder diesel. The Hemi is rated at 375 hp/429 lb-ft in the Chassis Cab and 405 hp/429 lb-ft in the Heavy Duty. The Cummins is rated at 360 hp/800 lb-ft in the Chassis Cab and 430 hp/1,075 lb-ft in the Heavy Duty.

The Ram 3500 pickup with the Cummins has a maximum towing capacity of 36,610 pounds with a gooseneck trailer, 23,000 pounds with a conventional hitch and a top payload rating of 7,590 pounds when properly equipped.
The maximum towing capacity of a Cummins-equipped 5500 Chassis Cab is just 34,540 pounds, but its payload capacity is 11,960 pounds.
All models are available with a 2.5-kilowatt inverter and the Chassis Cabs feature a Power Take Off system.
The interiors share their design with the recently revamped Ram 1500 and are available with a passenger-side touchscreen infotainment system display. Standard electronic driver aids include automatic emergency brakes and adaptive cruise control, while a lane-centering system and trailer reverse system that allows the driver to use knob on the dash to direct the vehicle as it steers itself are options.
Pricing for the Ram 2500 starts at $47,560 for a 2500 Tradesman and $48,695 for a 3500 Tradesman. Big Horn, Lone Star, Laramie, Rebel, Power Wagon, Limited Longhorn and Limited trims are also available. The Chassis Cab can be ordered in Tradesman and Big Horn trims starting at 495,285 for a 3500, $55,6000 for a 4500 and $56,770 for a 5500.
