Sometimes slamming on the brakes just isn’t enough.

The 1,025 hp 2023 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 can do a quarter-mile in 8.91 seconds at 151.17 mph from the factory on street legal drag radials, and it won’t take much to tweak it to go faster than that.

For customers looking to push it to the limit, Dodge has announced a few accessories to help bring things back down from speed.

The Direct Connection catalog is offering a $1,395 parachute mounting kit and a $899 parachute release lever designed for the very muscular car.

The Demon 170 is priced at $100,361 with delivery and gas guzzler tax included, and Dodge will build a maximum of 3,000 for the U.S. and 300 for Canada, if it can get them done in time before the Challenger is discontinued in December.
