This Demon was built for speed.

Well, all of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demons with their 808 hp supercharged V8s were built for speed, but this one is light on its feet.

A custom Demon built by Speedkore with a full carbon fiber body is being offered at the Mecum Auctions Indy Fall Special event on October 7.

The car is one of five like it that were built by the Wisconsin company, which has created some amazing originals like Kevin Hart’s 1970 Dodge Charger Hellraiser.

Unlike that heavily modified car, the Demon’s body is a near exact replica of the production car that reduces the beefy coupe’s weight by around 200 pounds.

It’s also powered by the stock motor, according to Speedkore, while other exampless of the carbon fiber car had theirs cranked up to 1,400 hp.

Perhaps the most amazing thing about it is that it shows 876 miles on the odometer. Many of the Demons have hardly been driven at all and a few that have surfaced for sale are still in the single digits.

In fact, one that had been driven only 119 miles was recently sold at the Mecum Auctions Dallas event for $159,000, nearly twice what it listed for when new.

That’s likely due in part to the upcoming discontinuation of the V8-powered Dodge Challenger at the end of this year, which is being sent off with the limited edition 1,025 hp Demon 170.

As for the value of the Speedkore car, along with its custom body it is one of only 3,000 of the 2018 Demons that were sold in the U.S., making it a rarity among rarities that the market will have to put a price on in Indianapolis.
