Las Vegas belongs to Kyle Larson.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver swept all three stages of the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday to book his ticket to the NASCAR Playoffs final in Phoenix.

Larson led 133 of 267 laps, but almost saw his race end on lap 141 when he got loose and smacked into the wall while running second.

He fell back to fifth, but managed to keep the car under control and work his way up to the front.

Larson had a big lead heading into the end of the race, but fellow playoff driver Christopher Bell made a late push and almost closed the gap, coming up a car length short as they crossed the line ahead of Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski and Ross Chastain.

It was the end of an eventful week for Larson, who claimed the High Limit Sprint Car Series title on Wednesday in Indiana and followed it up with a successful rookie orientation program at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Thursday in the new hybrid Arrows McLaren for his entry in next year’s Indy 500.

There were only a handful single-car accidents during the race, mostly caused by flat tires, but Ty Gibbs had an entire wheel and tire come off the car, leading to a penalty and eventual 34th place finish.
