George Foreman Is Selling His Huge Classic Car Collection

(Hagerty)

Big George is a big car guy.

The two-time heavyweight boxing champion is auctioning a collection of more than 50 cars, trucks and motorcycles online through Hagerty.

“I have been a car collector and enthusiast most of my life, but the time has come for me to share my cars with other like-minded enthusiasts,” Foreman said.

Foreman’s fleet includes a wide range of vehicles spanning 91 years that includes Ferraris, a bus and a limousine, but is primarily made up of American classics.

EXCLUSIVE: ‘THE FALL GUY’ TV SHOW’S GMC PICKUP IS A MID-ENGINE MONSTER THAT STILL RUNS

The bidding is opened until various dates in December, so here are a few amazing standouts to browse during your holiday shopping:

1976 CADILLAC ELDORADO CONVERTIBLE

There’s probably no car more suitable for a 6-foot, 4-inch-tall Texan than a 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible. Foreman bought his baby blue example in 2013 and it features a blue top and blue leather upholstery. The 1976 Eldorado was the only American convertible sold that year and the last Eldorado to come with the enormous 500-cubic-inch V8.

1947 CHEVROLET 3100 SERIES 1/2 TON PICKUP

This factory-correct Advance Design pickup was Chevy’s first new truck following World War 2 and is equipped with the brand’s legendary 216-cubic-inch “Stovebolt” straight-six and three-speed synchromesh transmission. It’s not in perfect shape, but received a three-stage paint correction, detail, battery replacement, and carburetor adjustment in 2020.

1963 CHEVROLET CORVETTE STINGRAY SPLIT-WINDOW FUELIE

George Foreman isn’t the only famous person to have owned this 1963 split-window Corvette. According to the listing, it previously belonged to Van Halen singer David Lee Roth. The car is a “fuelie” with a Rochester fuel injection system for its 360 hp 327-cubic-inch V8. The car has been sitting in storage for a decade and will need some work to get it going again, but Hagerty says it could be worth over $300,000 if restored to concours quality.

2008 TESLA ROADSTER

(Hagerty)

Foreman bought this 2008 Tesla Roadster from the factory, but it doesn’t seem like he was too charged up about driving it. It only has 447 miles on the odometer, which isn’t even two full charges of its 244-mile battery pack. This is another one that’s been sitting around for a decade and is not being sold in running condition. Electric car batteries often “brick” when not regularly used, but replacements are available priced well into the five-figure range.

2002 PONTIAC FIREBIRD TRANS AM SLP FIREHAWK

Another of Foreman’s low-mileage cars is this 2002 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SLP Firehawk with 1,021 miles on the odometer. It is one of 36 of the cars like it that were built in what would be the Firebird Trans Am’s final year. Its 5.7-liter V8 is equipped with Ram Air induction and tuned to deliver a 345 hp punch.

1999 PLYMOUTH PROWLER

Another one of Foreman’s hot models is a 1999 Plymouth Prowler featuring a custom flaming cheetah paint job. It previously belonged to NBA great Dennis Rodman and has been driven just 1,378 miles. Its 3.5-liter V6 is unmodified, but other custom touches include a front bumper delete, chrome front suspension components, plus a custom grille and headlights.

You can choose your own adventure with this stripped 1948 Chevrolet two-door coupe chassis that never made it past the project stage. The frame comes with all the running gear needed to get it going with a new body, including a straight-six engine and three-speed manual transmission.
