NASCAR’s 2024 Daytona 500 Is Sold Out

NASCAR’s 2023 season must’ve been pretty good, because it’s already putting plenty of butts in the seats for next year.

The Daytona International Speedway announced on Tuesday that grandstand seating and camping areas for the 2024 Daytona 500 are officially sold out.

The NASCAR-owned track said that this is the earliest sell out it has recorded in the modern era that started in 1972 and the ninth consecutive year the stands will be full.

The exact number of tickets sold was not announced, but a video announcement put it at 100,000+. The facility reduced its capacity by 31% to a reported 101,500 seats in 2013.

FANS SAY THIS WAS THE BEST NASCAR RACE OF 2023

The Daytona 500 is scheduled for February 18 as the marquee event during Daytona Speedweeks, which includes qualifying, the Daytona Duels and races for all three NASCAR touring series plus the ARCA Menards series.

NASCAR President Steve Phelps said this week that the series sold out 12 or 13 of its races last year and that increasing attendance was a goal for the series.

The Daytona events will be preceded by the Clash at the L.A. Coliseum exhibition race the weekend of Feb. 4.
