The Tesla Cybertruck Is Literally Sharp Enough To Cut Skin
As Bryan Adams might say, “it cuts like a — stainless steel — knife.”
The Tesla Cybertruck’s body is made from a particularly strong stainless steel alloy.
That’s why the bodywork is so flat. Tesla says it’s too hard to bend into shapes.
It’s also dent resistant and bulletproof against shots from certain firearms.

As American Cars And Racing noted during its first look at the truck, the side body panels line up with the roof and hood lines in a way that creates an edge and a gap between the panels and the truck.
It also sticks out at the front, creating a point at the corner that looks pretty sharp, because it is.
Hagerty’s Jason Camissa found this out the hard way.
Hagerty is one of the few media outlets that has gotten a chance to test the Cybertruck, and during its video review Camissa scrapes his arm against it, which the captions note ripped his shirt and cut the skin on his forearm.
The truck featured was technically a prototype, but there’s no indication that the design has been updated for the production models.
The U.S. doesn’t have regulations regarding this type of design issue.
