See It: The Last Dodge Challenger SRT Demon Off The Line In Photos

It’s lights-out for the Dodge Challenger as the final car rolled off the line last week, appropriately dressed in somber black.

Images of the last of the L cars built at Brampton Assembly in Canada have been posted to Facebook.

The ultimate Challenger is an SRT Demon 170 painted Pitch Black. The green-spoke wheels in the images are temporary for factory work.

The car is set to be the last V8-powered Dodge muscle car ever, if the company stays true to its word.

The Challenger will initially be replaced by an all-electric car based on the Charger Daytona SRT Concept, but it’s possible that future versions will be added that swap their batteries and electric motors for a turbocharged straight-six-cylinder.

“Today was my last day at the plant, I’ve never seen so much emotion over a car,” one commenter wrote.

The electric model is expected to launch in late 2024 after the plant’s assembly line has been updated for the new platform, although Dodge has not officially confirmed where it will be built.
