Ford is adding a third shift at its Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne to meet the strong demand for the Bronco SUV and upcoming all-new 2024 Ranger midsize pickup.

The factory will run seven days on two shifts.

The Bronco is currently on sale and Ranger production is underway ahead of the first deliveries starting this year.

Approximately 700 of the 1,600 jobs needed in Wayne will be filled by workers from Ford’s nearby Rouge Complex, where the expected output of the electric F-150 Lightning pickup is being slashed.
