2024 Honda Prologue Electric SUV Priced At $48,795

The Honda Prologue is the end-all in pricing for the brand.

The midsize electric SUV will start at $48,795, which will make it Honda’s most expensive model when it goes on sale this spring.

That gets you into an entry-level Prologue EX with a 212 hp front-wheel drivetrain and a range of 296 miles per charge. An EX with a 288 all-wheel drivetrain is priced at $51,795 with 281 miles of range.

Touring trims with the same powertrains are $53,095 and $56,095, respectively, while a loaded top-of-the-line Elite with all-wheel-drive is $59,295.

The Prologue is built on the General Motors Ultium electric vehicle platform. It’s shared with Chevrolet Blazer EV, which is currently available in an entry-level all-wheel-drive model with 288 hp that starts at $53,195.

Honda has not officially announced it yet, but the Blazer is built at GM’s Ramos Arizpe, Mexico, factory and photos posted online from the plant indicate that’s where the Prologue is being made.

Honda is also using the Ultium platform for the upcoming Acura ZDX, which is more closely aligned with the Cadillac Lyriq. The ZDX starts at $64,500 not including delivery fees.

The Prologue and ZDX are the only two models Honda plans to build using the Ultium technology. It is working on its own platform that was introduced at this year’s CES with the dramatically styled Honda 0 Series Saloon, which the company says is a preview of a production car that will be on sale in 2026.

Honda’s not through working with GM on zero emission tech, however. The companies opened their joint-venture Fuel Cell System Manufacturing operation in Brownsville, Mich., this week.

The endeavor will build fuel cells for a variety of vehicular and energy generation applications, including a fuel cell-powered CR-V that’s set to be built at the Honda Performance Manufacturing Center in Ohio that used to produce the NSX supercar.
