Simon says this is a cool classic movie car.
The Matador Red 1970 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 that was featured in the 1993 film “Demolition Man” will be surfacing for sale at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction on Saturday, January 27.
The muscle car was used on screen by Sylvester Stallone’s John Spartan character to pursue Simon Phoenix, portrayed by Wesley Snipes.
Spartan and his sidekick Lenina Huxley, played by Sandra Bullock, discovered the coupe in the underground ruins of the dystopian San Angeles city in which the film is set during the year 2032.

Hagerty estimates the value of the model at $117,000, but that’s not taking into account this specific example’s Hollywood provenance.
