Denny Hamlin just beat your favorite driver again.

The Joe Gibbs Racing driver won his fourth Busch Light Clash on Saturday night in a race that started a day early.

The Clash was scheduled for Sunday, but NASCAR decided to move it up to Saturday in place of the planned qualifying heat races due to a torrential rainstorm that’s expected to slam the area for the next few days.

Hamlin qualified on pole, but the 150-lap race was dominated by his teammate Ty Gibbs and Penske Racing’s Joey Logano.

The two started first and second after a yellow flag with 10 laps to go, but Hamlin was able to slip in front of them from third place to take the lead.

Another yellow led to a two-lap overtime finish with Hamlin starting in first next to Ryan Blaney with Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson behind them in the second row.

Hamlin was able to stay out front, while Busch moved from third to second to take his third straight top-three finish in the season-opening exhibition race.

The win was Hamlin’s fourth in a Clash and during a post-race interview he paraphrased his own famous line from last year’s playoff race at Bristol Motor Speedway by telling booing fans, “you know I beat your favorite driver again, right?”
