Kia EV9 Named World Car Of The Year
The Kia EV9 SUV is a two-time champ.
The three-row electric SUV was named World Car of the Year and World Electric Vehicle of the year by the World Car Awards jury at the New York International Auto Show.
The EV9 is currently manufactured in South Korea, but a new factory in West Point, Ga., will start assembling it for U.S. sales in the coming weeks.
The EV9 trims are priced from $56,395 to $75,395 and have various ranges from 230 miles to 304 miles per charge.
THE 2024 KIA SORENTO GOES X-PRO
The EV9 was previously named 2024 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year and The World Car of the Year win marked the third in a row for a Hyundai Motor Group vehicle, with the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 taking the 2022 and 2023 titles.
The new Ioniq 5 N was named World Performance Car this year and the Volvo EX30 World Urban Car. The electric EX30 was also one of the finalists up against the EV90 for the World Car title.
