It’s a long hauler.

Chevrolet has confirmed the final specifications for the Silverado EV RST that will begin shipping before July.

The full-size electric pickup has received an EPA range rating of 440 miles per charge, which beats the 400-mile estimate Chevrolet had previously announced.

That puts it just behind the 450-mile rating for the Silverado EV 4WT (Work Truck) and ahead of all other full-size pickups currently on sale.

The RST is the Silverado EV’s top trim and comes equipped with a 754 hp all-wheel-drive system that’s rated at 785 lb-ft of torque and good for a 0-60 mph sprint of 4.5 seconds. It’s rated to tow up to 10,000 pounds and has a payload rating of 1,300 pounds.

The latter is on the low side for a truck this size and likely due in part to the truck’s enormous battery pack, which has a capacity of over 200 kilowatt-hours and weighs nearly 3,000 pounds.

For comparison, the F-150 Lightning Platinum it competes against uses a 131 kilowatt-hour pack that provides 300 miles of range and a 1,657-pound payload rating, while the Tesla Cybertruck Cyberbeast has a 123 kilowatt-hour pack and is advertised with 320 miles of range with 2,500 pounds of payload capacity. The Cyberbeast is classified as a heavy truck, however, and its range figure is not EPA-certified.

Pricing for the Silverado EV RST starts at $96,395, which puts it between the $93,990 F-150 Lightning Platinum and $101,380 Cybertruck Cyberbeast.

Additional Silverado EV trims will be added to the lineup following the launch of the RST.
