Tesla Slashes Monthly Full Self-Driving Subscription To $99
Several weeks into giving all Tesla owners a free month-long trial of its Full Self-Driving feature, the automaker has slashed the price of a monthly subscription for the electronic driver aid.
“You can now subscribe to FSD (Supervised) for $99/month in the US,” Tesla announced on X.
Tesla had previously been charging $199 per month for the feature, which can also be purchased outright for $12,000.
Full Self-Driving is a brand name and doesn’t accurately describe the system, which is not capable of operating the vehicle 100% of the time or without driver supervision, but does provide semi-autonomous driving in many situations.

Tesla offered the free trial starting in March for all vehicles equipped with the hardware required to run the latest version of the Full Self-Driving software. However, Full Self-Driving is not currently functional on the Cybertruck, despite it having the required hardware.
According to the latest policy, Full Self-Driving stays with a vehicle if it is purchased outright, but an owner cannot currently transfer it to a new vehicle, although Tesla periodically offers that option as an incentive.
Tesla’s latest delivery reports have suggested that demand for its vehicles has softened and Reuters reported on Monday that the company is about to layoff approximately 15,000 workers globally, which represents 10% of its workforce.
