This Might Be The Last New 2024 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Left For Sale

The end of an era is approaching quickly.

In May, American Cars And Racing reported that there were fewer than 1,000 new Chevrolet Camaros left for sale, production of the model having ended last December.

That number is now below 500, but that’s all Camaros combined. If you want the top dog, there might just be one left.

Our survey of online marketplaces found a handful of Camaro ZL1 listings, but after checking with the dealers themselves, only one panned out as up to date.

A sales representative confirmed that it is still available and that there has been interest in it, but that the dealership didn’t see a rush on Camaros after it was discontinued in December. In fact, it took this one in on a dealer trade.

The car is equipped with the ZL1’s 655 hp supercharged 6.2-liter V8 and the only options specified are a 10-speed automatic transmission, carbon fiber weave hood insert and front license plate holder.

The sticker price is $84,030, but don’t expect to write that check. Mike Bell Chevrolet lists it for $134,040, which represents a $50,000 markup.

Now, it’s possible that there’s another ZL1 out there somewhere, and American Cars And Racing would be interested in hearing from any dealer that has one in stock, so feel free to reach out to [email protected] if you do.

Nevertheless, this era of the Camaro is quickly coming to a close. There’s no telling when the next one will begin, but it will likely be very different when it does.

While there are no current plans to bring back the model soon, GM President Mark Reuss told Motor Trend his vision is that it would return to its affordable pony car roots, but as a four-door electric coupe priced like the Chevrolet Equinox EV, which starts at $34,995.
