Ford Bronco Sport Sasquatch Coming August 26
Ford has been messing with sasquatch.
The automaker is teasing the upcoming reveal of the updated 2025 Bronco Sport SUV and isn’t being subtle about a new trim it’s adding to the lineup.
Ford posted a teaser video to social media that shows the back of a muddy Bronco Sport as a hairy arm reaches into the frame and writes 8/26 into the mud with its finger. Stomping feet and a growl can be heard in the background.
“Sounds like something big is coming to Bronco Sport. Check back 8/26,” the post says.

It’s clearly a reference to a new Sasquatch option, which is currently available on the larger Bronco and adds the most extreme off-road equipment. Think of it as an equivalent to the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.
The most capable version of the Bronco Sport today is called the Badlands. It comes with the top 250 hp engine option, a lockable twin-clutch rear drive unit for improved traction, all-terrain tires, an extra inch of ground clearance compared to other trims, bash plates and recovery hooks.
Ford hasn’t released any additional information about the Bronco Sport update, but it recently unveiled the 2025 Maverick that shares a platform with it.

The Maverick’s new Lobo model is the opposite of a Sasquatch. It’s a street-tuned truck with a lowered ride height, rally-style 19-inch rims a seven-speed transmission and the dual-clutch rear drive unit, but here mostly because it provides torque vectoring that can improve the handling, making it suitable for autocrossing, according to Ford.
The 2025 Maverick is scheduled to begin deliveries before the end of this year with the Lobo joining the lineup early next year, so the new Bronco Sport probably won’t be too far behind.
