The GMC Sierra EV Denali is wrapping up its first model year with the end of Edition 1 availability, but its replacement may be even better.

The 2025 model will be offered in a Max Range version that increases the driving range from last year’s 440 miles to 460 miles and comes with a dual motor all-wheel-drive system that’s rated at 760 hp, up from 754 hp, while delivering the same 785 lb-ft of torque.

Pricing starts at $100,494, which is just $1,000 more than the Edition 1, while a new Extended Range trim with 393 miles of range lists for $91,995.

Both versions have four-wheel-steering with CrabWalk Mode for diagonal driving, an air suspension system, a full glass roof and the hands-free Super Cruise highway driving feature that includes a subscription for three years of operation.

The Sierra EV Denali is built on an 800-volt architecture that can charge the batteries at speeds of up to 350 kW, which GMC says is good for 100 miles-worth of electricity in 10 minutes, but will need about 40 minutes to get the battery pack charged to 80%. GMC has also confirmed that a lower-priced entry-level Elevation trim and an off-road AT4 model will join the lineup in the first half of 2024.
