Joe Burrow Bought A $2.99 Million Batmobile That He Can’t Even Drive
Even Batman can’t save the Cincinnati Bengals this season, but maybe they’ll have more luck next year.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow revealed during the premiere episode of “Hard Knocks” on Max that he’ll have a new set of wheels next season
“Have I told you I bought a Batmobile?” Burrow told wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase in a clip from the docuseries. “I don’t get it for like a year, but I bought it.”
Burrow was apparently referring to one of the 10 Wayne Enterprises Tumblers that went on sale this year.
The officially licensed and fully functional recreations of the Christopher Nolan-era Batmobile are priced at $2.99 million, which is a drop in the $275 million bucket that is Burrow’s current contract with the team.
“I think I have to go all-in and go for like an expensive Batsuit,” Burrow said.
“I ain’t gonna lie, that s–t gonna be hilarious,” Chase responded.
“What if I wore it to every game? What if I wore the full Batsuit, Batmobile to every game?” Burrow asked.
“I’d wear that b—h to the club,” wide receiver Tee Higgins interjected.
Unfortunately for Burrow, the Tumblers are not being sold as street legal vehicles, so he might have to spend a few more bucks to make that happen if he really wants to drive it around Cincy. Crime fighting is probably not an option, either, now that he has revealed his identity as the owner.
The Tumbler is technically built by Action Vehicle Engineering, which is a California outfit that specializes in movie stunt cars and outlandish customs. It is as long as a Chevrolet Corvette, as wide as a Chevrolet Silverado and powered by a 525 hp 6.2-liter LS3 crate engine that drives its dually rear tires through a four-speed automatic transmission. The guns and jet exhaust are just for show and simulated, but there is a working smoke screen.

Burrow might want to use the last of those when he sends Chase and Higgins out on a pass pattern.
