The Hunter RMV GLOBeRanger 4X4 Is The Ultimate Chevy Off-Road RV

It was designed to live up to its name. GLOBeRanger 4X4 is an overland adventure vehicle from the folks at Nevada’s Hunter RMV.

The RV body is compatible with either the old Chevrolet Kodiak C4500/C5500 or GMC TopKick C4500/C5500 chassis or a the new Chevrolet C6500 Crew Cab.

The trucks get off-road suspension setups that can be customized to the buyer’s preferences and ride on super singles tires. Power comes from a turbocharged 6.6-liter Duramax diesel V8. Winches, auxiliary lights, awnings and ladders can be added.

The body is made from a four-season composite material and features a full dining area, kitchen and bathroom, plus a sleeping loft. It can accommodate up to six campers with its various convertible beds. Options include an induction cooktop, stainless steel sink and washer/dryer that draw from a 100 gallon freshwater tank.

Solar panels, satellite internet and security cameras are among the available features for making off-the-grid living more bearable. An external BBQ and grill can be installed in a bodyside compartment and an e-bike rack attached to the rear.

Hunter RMV offers new C6500 builds for $395,000 while converting an existing Kodiak or TopKick starts at $235,000 over the price of the chassis.

An interesting side note to this build is that the U.S. President’s Cadillac “Beast” limousine is understood to be based on the TopKick chassis. The U.S. Secret Service has not confirmed the details, but the vehicle is clearly a medium duty truck that has been designed to look like a sedan. The chassis is needed to support the weight of its heavily armored body.
