The 6 Cheapest Cars Still Made In USA

US-built cars are on the endangered list. Not SUVs and trucks, but actual cars. Coupes, sedans, hatchbacks and convertibles.
That’s particularly true for the most affordable ones, which have been going extinct at a rapid pace.
The Kansas-built Chevrolet Malibu was discontinued last year and now the Indiana-built Subaru Legacy has followed it into the history books.
Production of the $27,980 Legacy sedan ended on Sept. 12 after 36 years. It was Subaru’s first model assembled in the U.S. in 1989 and its slot in the factory is being taken by the Forester SUV.
So what’s left? Here are the cheapest cars that are still made in USA:
6. FORD MUSTANG: $33,915

The Ford Mustang is the most affordable car from any American brand and it is built at its own factory in Flat Rock, Mich. The 2025 two-door EcoBoost Fastback coupe starts at $33,915 and comes with a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 315 hp and 350 lb-ft and a standard 10-speed automatic transmission. Stick-shift fans will have to step up to the $48,555 V8-powered GT.

5. TOYOTA CAMRY: $30,195

The Kentucky-built 2026 Toyota Camry is the best-selling car in the USA, although that puts it seventh on the list behind pickups and SUVs. It is only available as a hybrid now and comes with a 225 hp front-wheel-drive powertrain that’s rated 51 mph in the base LE trim. All reasons why American Cars And Racing named it the 2025 US-Built Car Of The YearTM.
4. HONDA ACCORD: $29,490

It’s been a decade since the Honda CR-V overtook the Accord on the sales charts, but the midsize sedan remains a stalwart of the brand. Production was shifted from Ohio to Indiana for 2026, but all Accords are still made in USA and it starts at $29,490 for an LX with a 192 hp turbocharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine and front-wheel-drive.
