The USA Is Going To Hellcat As 2026 Dodge Durango Orders Open In All 50 States

When Dodge announced that V8-powered Durangos were continuing into 2026, it came with an asterisk.
Durangos with the 475 hp 6.4-liter V8 and 710 hp supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat V8 options weren’t available to order in California and the other states that follow the guidelines of California Emissions Resource Board (CARB), which are more strict than the federal standards.
It didn’t give up, however, and managed to get approval for a few of the states in November, but now the Durango is good to go in all 50, plus Washington, D.C., just in time for the holidays.
“The Dodge Durango stands alone as the only three-row muscle SUV on the market, delivering unmatched performance, best-in-class towing and available HEMI V-8 power — the perfect supercharged sleigh to help Santa on his mission,” Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO, said in a news release.

“There’s no stopping the momentum the Dodge Durango is experiencing, including 14 straight months of sales growth, and now that the Durango SRT Hellcat is uncaged and running free in all 50 states, that momentum is going to keep growing.” Durango sales were up 44% in the third quarter compared to 2024 and 16% for the full year.

Demand for the model has been so strong that Dodge abandoned a plan to only offer it with V8 engines in 2026 because it can’t make enough of them yet, so it reintroduced the entry-level V6-powered Durango GT.
The full range of engines includes the 295 hp 3.6-liter V6, 360 hp 5.7-liter V8, 475 hp 6.4-liter V8 and 710 hp supercharged 6.2-liter V8. Starting MSRPs range from $38,995 for a rear-wheel-drive GT to $81,585 for an SRT Hellcat Jailbreak, which unlocks custom color and trim options with more than 10 million possible combinations.
