Brendan Queen’s Cummins RAM 1500 NASCAR Truck Revealed

Ram has a new Cummins pickup that’s not a diesel.
Kaulig Racing has announced Cummins as the primary sponsor for the No. 12 Ram 1500 that Brenden Queen will be driving in 2026.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Cummins to the Kaulig Racing family,” Chris Rice, Chief Executive Officer of Kaulig Racing said in a news release. “Their engineering excellence and commitment to innovation are a perfect match for our vision. Brenden is an exceptional talent, and we’re building a program around him that we believe can compete for wins and make a playoff run right away.”
Kaulig Racing is Ram’s factory team in the Truck Series. Ram offers Cummins diesel engines in its production heavy duty trucks, including the new 2027 Ram 2500 HD Power Wagon Diesel. Queen’s truck will feature the livery at every race on the schedule, but will be fueled by the same Sunoco gas-ethanol blend as the rest of the trucks in the series.

“To have a company with Cummins’ history and worldwide reputation support me is incredible,” Queen said. “I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of this Ram 1500 and represent Cummins and Kaulig Racing every weekend. This is the type of opportunity every driver dreams about.”

Defending ARCA Menards Series Champion Queen was the first driver signed to the new Kaulig Racing truck series team, which has since added Daniel Dye and Justin Haley.

A fourth truck will feature a different “Free Agent” driver at every race, while plans for the fifth truck have not yet been announced.
Ram sold diesel 1500 trucks from 2014 to 2023, but they did not have Cummins engines. The automaker has not announced any plans to reintroduce the option in its light duty trucks, but is in the process of reintroducing V8 engines, which were phased out in 2024.
