The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Daytona International Speedway is going to be a star-studded event.
YouTube star Cleetus McFarland is scheduled to join action sports and racing star Travis Pastrana on the Niece Motorsports team for the Fresh From Florida 250 on February 13. McFarland, who has 4.6 million subscribers on YouTube, made four ARCA Mendards Series starts in 2025, including the Daytona race, and has stated his goal is to race in the Daytona 500 one day.
He does have to make it over one hurdle before he is confirmed, however, by passing a test at Rockingham Speedway on Tuesday, February 10.
“I’ve been lucky to drive a lot of really cool stuff, but Daytona in a NASCAR Craftsman Truck is a whole new level,” McFarland said. “This is my first time in the series, so I know it’s going to push me way outside my comfort zone, and that’s what makes it so exciting. I’m incredibly grateful to have partners like Black Rifle Coffee Company, Brunt and Niece Motorsports backing us every step of the way. We’re going to go have some fun and see what this thing can do.”
The pair will be chronicling their adventure on Pastrana’s Project 199 YouTube channel and, along with their sponsors, are donating $100,000 to the Boot Campaign in support of veterans and military families.
Both will have some serious competition to contend with in the race, as NASCAR great Tony Stewart is set to drive for the Kaulig Racing Ram Trucks team, marking his first NASCAR start since 2016. Cup Series drivers Carson Hocevar, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and John Hunter Nemechek are also on this year’s entry list, as is actor Frankie Muniz, who is back for his second full-time season in the series.
