These 10 Vehicles Have The Best Resale Value

Kelley Blue Book has released its 2026 Best Resale Value Awards list and just three American models made the top 10. The study projects the estimated residual value for vehicles after five years of ownership.

As usual, Toyota dominated by sweeping the top four and putting five models on the list. The Toyota Tacoma was number one, followed by the American-made Tundra, 4Runner and soon-to-be discontinued GR Supra sports car.

The Mercedes-Benz G-Class was fifth ahead of the Indiana-built Toyota Sienna minivan, creating a stark contrast that demonstrates the variety of attributes that contribute to a vehicle’s value retention. Rarity, quality and sometimes both.

The Ford Maverick was the highest ranking model from a U.S. brand in seventh. The Mexican-made compact pickup remains in strong demand five years after its launch and, with no expectations that Ford will be able to increase supplies dramatically, its strong resale values are expected to continue.

It’s a different, but similar situation with the mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette, which is entering its eighth model year with strong demand for its Kentucky-built high end models, which now range from the $122,000 Z06 to the $210,000 ZR1X.

The Porsche 911 remains a perennial favorite in the same category and its top versions typically sell with huge markups and customers willing to buy a second Porsche just to get allocations for them.

Tenth on the list was the Ford Ranger, which hails from Michigan and is not a big seller in the midsize pickup class, but is considered very reliable and has strong parts and aftermarket equipment support to keep it useful for years to come.
