We guess you can’t trust the Ford Expedition anymore, because it’s turning 30.

The venerable full-size SUV was first launched for the 1997 model year and Ford is celebrating the start of its fourth decade with a 30th Anniversary appearance package. Ford delivered 85,921 Expeditions in 2025 and is closing in on 3 million cumulative sales.

It’s an addition to the Expedition Platinum’s Stealth appearance package that includes the color-shifting metallic Blue Ember paint that launched with the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse.

Ford swaps the Stealth package’s black interior for Salt Crystal Gray and goes with a set of darker high-gloss ebony 22-inch wheels. The wheel centers, tailgate, center armrest and sill plates all get “30 Years” logos.

Mechanical updates aren’t included and the package is paired with the Expedition’s standard 400 hp turbocharged 3.5-liter V6. Ford is offering it on both the standard length and stretched Expedition Max configurations.

The Expedition 30th Anniversary package is making its public debut at the New York International Auto Show. Pricing hasn’t been announced, but an Expedition Platinum with the Stealth package starts around $80,000.
