Trackhouse Racing driver Shane van Gisbergen won his second-straight Go Bowling At The Glen at Watkins Glen with the kind of dominant performance you don’t often see in the NASCAR Cup Series these days.

The pole-sitter led the first 18 laps then flipped the stage with an early pit stop to set himself to win Stage 2.

Joey Logano then blew a tire early in Stage 3 to bring out a caution on lap 61 that brought most of the front-runners in for pit stops, but Van Gisbergen stayed out on track until lap 76.

When he came out of the pits he was in 26th position 29 seconds behind the leader Ty Gibbs who was on a fuel-saving strategy to avoid another pit stop, while Van Gisbergen was on the gas.

It took Van Gisbergen just 18 laps to catch Gibbs, who was later passed by Michael McDowell. Van Gisbergen proceeded to drive away and stretch his to more than seven seconds ahead of McDowell by the time he reached the checkered flag for his first win of the 2026 season.

Van Gisbergen said his crew chief, Stephen Doran made great calls. “I wasn’t sure how it was going to work,” he said. “Then to run them down, very, very special to do two in a row. Just stoked for these guys, you know, to execute every facet of our game. Speechless. This is so cool.”

The win moved Van Gisbergen into 16th in the season standings, which is the final qualifying spot for The Chase postseason. Points leader Tyler Reddick finished fifth in the race to hold onto his lead ahead of Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott, who came home in 16th and 24th, respectively.
