Rick Hendrick’s 5 Million-Dollar Chevrolet Corvettes
As one of Chevrolet’s biggest dealers nationwide, Rick Hendrick doesn’t have any trouble getting his hands on a Corvette when he wants one, unless it’s a milestone model.
Chevrolet often auctions the first examples of its most significant cars for charity and Hendrick needs to bid on them just like everyone else.
Just like at the race track, he often comes out on top and has spent millions on the newest Corvettes in recent years, with all of the proceeds going to charity.
5: FIRST 2014 CORVETTE STINGRAY: $1.1 MILLION
The seventh-generation Corvette marked a major upgrade that reinvigorated excitement for the model and Hendrick was more than happy to pay $1.1 million for the first one, with the money earmarked for Detroit’s College for Creative Studies.

4: FIRST 2024 CORVETTE E-RAY: $1.15 MILLION
A decade later Chevrolet did the unexpected and released the mid-engine, all-wheel drive hybrid Corvette E-Ray, which was the quickest car it had ever built up until then. Hendrick paid $1.15 million for the first one, which went to the DonorsChoose foundation that assists with school supplies.

3: FIRST 2020 CORVETTE STINGRAY
The 2020 Corvette Stingray wasn’t just a new generation, but also the first to feature a mid-engine design. Hendrick’s $3 million bid went to the Detroit Children’s Fund’s efforts to improve the motor city’s schools.

2. FIRST 2023 CORVETTE Z06: $3.6 MILLION
The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 was the first to feature a flat-plane crank V8. It’s rated at 670 hp, which makes it the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 ever. Hendrick paid $3.6 million for the first one to support Operation Homefront’s work helping military families.

1. FIRST 2025 CORVETTE ZR1: $3.7 MILLION
The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is the most powerful, quickest and fastest Corvette ever, so you know Hendrick wasn’t going to miss out on it. His $3.7 million bid was the highest ever paid for a new Corvette and the second highest ever for the model. The money is going to the American Red Cross.
