Dale Earnhardt Jr. is back … for one night only.

The semi-retired NASCAR driver is competing in the Xfinity Series Food City 300 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Friday night.

Earnhardt’s JR Motorsports runs four full-time cars in the series and Junior himself typically drives in one or two races each season, which he said helps sponsor the team.

Earnhardt has one Xfinity Series win at Bristol in 2004, but it helped make history.

He also won the Cup Series race that year to become the first drive to sweep both events in a single weekend.

Earnhardt isn’t expected to win this year, with a FanDuel simulation ranking him 10th with a 3.7% chance of victory.

His JR Motorsports drivers Justin Allgaier, Josh Berry and Brandon Jones all ranked higher while Sam Mayer was 11th on the list.

The Food City 300 is the first race in the Xfintiy Series Playoffs, which Allgaier, Mayer and Berry all qualified for.

NASCAR IS MAKING A BIG CHANGE TO THE PLAYOFFS

Brandon Jones just missed a berth by finishing second at the last regular season race at Kansas Speedway last weekend.

Earnhardt will be driving a Chevrolet Camaro featuring longtime sponsor Hellmann’s, but he hasn’t said if he’ll be eating one of his infamous banana and mayonnaise sandwiches before the race.

He’ll be back behind the wheel when the series visits Homestead-MIami on Oct. 21.
