The 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor is launching soon … quite literally in some cases.

The high performance midsize pickup was designed for high-speed off-roading and jumping, thanks to a special suspension built around a set of Fox Live Valve shocks.

To help it reach liftoff speed, it comes powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 rated at 405 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque.

The official fuel economy figures for the 4×4 truck have been posted, and the 37 mpg Ford Maverick hybrid doesn’t have to worry about any competition.

The Ranger Raptor is rated at 16 mpg city, 17 mpg combined and 18 mpg highway.

That beats its closest competitor, the 310 hp/430 lb-ft Chevrolet Colorado ZR2’s 16/16/16 rating.

It’s also more efficient than the Ford Bronco Raptor, which is built alongside it and gets 418 hp and 440 lb-ft out of its version of the 3.0-liter V6 while burning through gasoline at a rate of 15/15/16.

Ranger Raptor prices start at $56,960. Ranger production was halted during the UAW strike against Ford and has only recently resumed, delaying the official launch of the 2024 models.
