The Shelby Baja Raptor R Is A 900 HP Monster Truck
Shelby American has turned America’s most powerful V8 pickup into a real monster.
The Shelby Baja Raptor R is a customized version of the Ford F-150 Raptor R that’s now availalbe.
Shelby gives it a BDS suspension lift that retains the Raptor’s Fox Live Valve shocks, a set of unique 18-inch wheels with 37-inch mud terrain tires, steel bumpers, power steps with rock rails, a chase rack and more lights than Shelby’s hometown of Las Vegas.
A new grille and vented hood add even more menace than the high performance off-roader already has.

The interior features custom upholstery with Shelby logos, floor-mats, console badging and a serialized number plaque on the dashboard.

Out back there’s a bed-mounted spare tire kit that can hold two full-size spares, just like you find on the trucks that race in its namesake Baja locale.

The price is $64,995 on top of the cost of a factory Raptor R, but for an extra $9,995 Shelby will crank up the power with a post-title 3.8-liter Whipple supercharger upgrade that boosts it from 720 hp to 900 hp.

You can also get all the rest of the equipment on the the standard 450 hp turbocharged V6-powered Raptor for $61,995 that also adds a new intercooler, intake system and heat shield to increase the hp to 550 hp. The only caveat is that the engine modifications are not currently certified for CARB states, so customers there will have to make do with the stock power, which is still plenty.
