Hennessey has turned the Ford F-250 into a rolling tribute to the semiquincentennial.
The Texas tuning house started with an F-250 Lariat crew cab equipped with the 6.7-liter Power Stroke diesel V8, which comes from the factory rated at 475 hp and 1,050 lb-ft. It cranked that up to 500 hp and 1,200 lb-ft, then got to work on the rest of the truck.
It added a BDS 5-inch lift, which includes remote-reservoir Fox 2.5 coilover shocks and a steering stabilizer, and a set of 18-inch wheels with 37-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. Hennessey-designed stainless steel bumpers add protection along with metal power running board steps.
It gets LED fog lights, an LED bumper-mounted light bar, a carbon fiber hood with extraction vents and additional carbon fiber trim.
The interior is upgraded with Hennessey front buckets upholstered in leather and Alcantara, all-weather floor mats and a serialized number plate.
Hennessey is limiting availability to 250 builds, which list for $54,000 on top of the cost of the donor truck.
