Ford has officially confirmed pricing for the 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC after leaked information made it onto the internet.
The supercharged V8-powered Mustang will start at $103,490 when deliveries begin later this year. That’s a big jump from the 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500 that it essentially replaces, which had a $74,660 base price.
The Dark Horse SC uses an updated version of Ford’s supercharged 5.2-liter V8, which was rated at 760 hp and 625 lb-ft in the Shelby GT500. Ford hasn’t yet said how much power it makes this time around.
The Dark Horse SC also comes standard with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, computer-controlled MagneRide shocks and a Variable Traction Control system similar to the one featured in the $327,000 Mustang GTD.

A Track Pack deletes the rear seat, but adds the GTD’s Brembo carbon-ceramic brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 tires along with a high downforce aerodynamic package for $139,990.
Ford is also offering a Track Pack Special Edition for $170,970 that includes the Track Pack’s optional Carbon Fiber Appearance package, hand-painted hood graphics and Solar Red upholstery.
That’s a bargain compared to what someone paid for the first Dark Horse SC, which was sold at a charity auction in January for $1.25 million.
