Ford hasn’t yet announced pricing for the 2026 Mustang Dark Horse SC, but we know what the first one cost.
A bidder at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction won the rights to order VIN 001 with a $1.25 million bid.
Ford isn’t keeping the money, it offered the order slot through a charity auction raising money for the Breakthrough T1D organization, which supports type 1 diabetes treatment and research.
A blue Mustang Dark Horse SC Track Pack prototype was on the block during the event, but the winner will be able to order any color and configuration they like.

The Mustang Dark Horse SC features a supercharged 5.2-liter V8, seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and a more aggressive aerodynamic body kit than the standard Dark Horse.

The price and power rating will be announced closer to when the order books actually open in the spring ahead of the first deliveries this summer, but the 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500 that used the same engine had 760 hp and started around $80,000.
