The 2027 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport made a cameo appearance at the Twelve Hours of Sebring ahead of its full reveal on March 26, and Chevy is pulling back the curtain on its most interesting feature.
The model will be powered by an all-new V8 that’s expected to be a 6.7-liter, but Chevrolet has not yet confirmed its specifications. It has, however, released a sneak peek of what it looks and sounds like on social media. The short video clip shows a red engine cover with a design that’s unique from the other Corvette trims.
It also offers a few seconds of the engine idling and revving that sounds very much like a big displacement V8.
As with the past two Grand Sport generations, the car borrows the Z06’s wide body design and will bridge the gap between that 5.5-liter V8 powered model and the entry-level Stingray. It’s not yet known if the Stingray will also be getting the 6.7-liter V8, which is rumored to be rated at 535 hp or more.

Chevrolet dealers have also reportedly been told that there will be an all-wheel-drive hybrid version called the Grand Sport X, which will be equipped with a front electric motor driving the front wheels, like the ones in the Corvette E-Ray and Corvette ZR1X, but Chevrolet has not given any official indication that such a version will be revealed on March 26.
