America’s fastest production car will be pacing its fastest circuit race.

The 2026 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1X Indy 500 pace car has been revealed with a special livery to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary.

The car is painted half Arctic White, half Admiral Blue and features a stylized red, white and blue stars and stripes design. The interior features color-coordinated Santorini Blue leather upholstery and red seat belts.

“Every element – from the badging to the colors – were deliberately crafted to honor this milestone while expressing a forward‑looking vision of Chevrolet design,” Chevrolet Global Executive Design Director Phil Zak said.

The Corvette ZR1X boasts a 1,250 hp all-wheel-drive powertrain, can accelerate to 60 mph in 8.675 seconds, has an estimated 233 mph top speed and holds numerous lap records at tracks across the USA.

Indiana University football coach Curt Cignetti will be the honorary pace car driver in celebration of his team’s undefeated championship season.

Corvettes have served as Indy 500 pace cars every year since the Camaro in 2016 and Chevrolet’s streak stretches back to 2003.

Last year the 1,064 hp Corvette ZR1 was used, which has a certified top speed of 233 mph set by GM President Mark Reuss on a test track in Germany, which is just as fast as Robert Schwartzman’s 2025 Indy 500 232.790 mph pole speed.
