Ram said the 2027 ProMaster City would cost less than $40,000, and it actually does. The new minivan will start at $39,995 including destination fees.
That’s for a base Tradesman Cargo, while the Tradesman Passenger Wagon with three rows of seats and rear side windows lists for $42,695. Both versions will also be offered in an SLT trim with added equipment for an extra $1,500.
The ProMaster City will be imported from Turkey, where it is built under several names for other Stellantis brands, including Fiat and Citroën. It’s about two feet longer than the previous-generation ProMaster City, which was last sold in the U.S. in 2022.
All models come with a front-wheel-drive powertrain featuring a 166 hp 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Ram is expecting it to have towing and payload capacities of 2,000 pounds.
The two-seat Cargo version has a 111-inch load floor and can fit a 4×8-foot sheet of plywood inside with the rear doors closed. It will be available to order with either a liftgate or split doors that can open 180 degrees.
The ProMaster City is set to be both the lowest-priced van and the only commercial minivan on the market when deliveries begin in early 2027.
