The 1,000 hp Exorcist Chevy Camaro Is A Dodge Demon-Slayer
The end is nigh.

The Texas tuning house is launching a final run of its supernaturally powered “The Exorcist” Camaro ZL1.
The custom was first launched in 2017 as a limited edition build to compete with the Challenger SRT Demon and now returns to take on the Demon 170.

The production Chevrolet Camaro topped out with the ZL1’s 650 hp supercharged 6.2-liter V8, so Hennessey cranked things up with a larger supercharger, ported heads, high flow cylinder heads and catalytic converters, a custom induction system, upgraded valve springs, and other mods to increase its output to 1,000 hp.

While that was far more than the original Demon’s 808 hp, it still outguns the Demon 170’s 900 hp rating when running on gasoline and is pretty close to the 1,025 hp it puts out on E85.
The Exorcist is also rated at 966 lb-ft, can accelerate to 60 mph in 2.1 seconds and will cover a quarter-mile in 9.47 seconds at 147 mph, according to Hennessey. Its top speed is listed at 217 mph.
The Demon’s official performance numbers an astonishing 1.66 seconds to 60 mph and an 8.91-second quarter-mile, but were achieved on a prepped drag strip with drag radial tires.
Hennessey will only build 57 Final Edition cars as a salute to the 57th anniversary of the original Camaro’s debut in 1967, with the last Camaros being sold as 2024 model year cars.

John Hennessey told American Cars And Racing that pricing for the package is $54,950Â on top of the cost of a ZL1, which starts at $75,395 before options.
