It’s a rare bird.
A 1970 Plymouth Superbird equipped with its original 440-cubic-inch six-barrel V8 is being auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach, Fla., event the weekend of April 18-20.
Just 665 Superbirds out of the 1,935 that were built were ordered with this engine.
The white over black coupe has a TorqueFlite automatic transmission, a Tic-Toc-Tach and shows just over 48,000 miles on its odometer.

The Superbird’s 390 horsepower V8 has triple two-carburetors, which gives it the 440 Six-Barrel nickname.
Dodge called the same motor the 440 Six-Pack, which has been revived for use on the turbocharged inline-six-cylinder that will feature in the 2025 Charger.
According to Hagerty, top examples of the 1970 Superbird Six-Barrel are worth up to $500,000, while cars in “excellent” condition are closer to $350,00.
