The 2024 Dodge Charger Daytona is almost ready for the road.

The electric muscle car begins shipping in a few weeks and will be followed by an internal combustion engine-powered Charger that uses the same body next year.

But there’s a Charger built for drag racing that you’ll be able to get before the street model goes on sale.

Dodge has revealed a Charger Junior Dragster body that is designed for the NHRA Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing League for drivers age 5-17.

The cars are typically powered by five horsepower single-cylinder engines and compete in 1/8-mile races that can be as quick as 7.9 seconds. The body is designed to fit on an 85.5-inch wheelbase chassis.

The composite shell features grill and headlight graphics inspired by the Charger, complete with its triangular “Fratzog” badge, which is a historic Dodge logo that the company has resurrected for the Charger and Charger Daytona. It is sold through the Direct Connection parts catalog and is priced at $3,765.

While the production Charger will be powered by a 3.0-liter straight-six turbocharged engine Dodge is calling the SIXPACK, it is possible to make an electric version of the junior dragster. The rules allow for the use of electric motors that run at voltages up to 144 volts.

Five horsepower is slightly less than the first production Charger Daytonas will have. Dodge has announced that it will be offered in an $61,590 R/T trim with 496 hp and a $75,185 Scat Pack trim with 670 hp that can run the quarter-mile in 11.5 seconds.

The SIXPACK will be offered in 420 hp and 550 hp tunes when deliveries of the Charger begin in late 2025.
