Lincoln Corsair production ended in Kentucky last year so that Ford could convert the plant to build the upcoming Fathom electric pickup, but it will be heading back to showrooms next year from a different source.
Lincoln has confirmed that the updated 2027 Corsair will be imported from China, where the model is also made. The news comes just a week after the brand said that it will be moving production of the Nautilus from China to the U.S. in 2030, due to the 52.5% import tariff that is currently levied upon it.
Lincoln said the Corsair move had long been in the works and is not a recent development. It did not say if there are future plans to bring its production back to the U.S. in the future. The Kentucky-built Corsair was the highest-ranked vehicle on the 2022 Kogod School of Business Made in America Auto Index, which ranks vehicles based on their impact on the domestic U.S. economy.
The compact SUV is getting a styling update for 2027 and a standard all-wheel-drive hybrid powertrain rated at 305 hp, but Lincoln has not yet said what the estimated fuel economy will be.
It will be offered in Premiere and Reserve trims and a with long list of available features that includes 24-way adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation and massage, while the hardware for the hands-free Blue Cruise highway driving system is included on all models. Lincoln is also throwing in a four-year subscription to the Lincoln Security Package, which includes theft alerts and stolen vehicle recovery assistance.

Prices start at $48,790 for a Premiere and $55,790 for a Reserve, with a fully optioned Reserve topping out at $64,990. The outgoing Corsair started at just over $40,000 for a front-wheel drive model with a turbocharged four-cylinder engine, but the all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid version listed for more than $55,000.
